The Railway Administration has cancelled four trains operating from the Jammu Railway Division in view of anticipated severe traffic congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations on October 10, 2026.
According to Public Relations Inspector (PRI), Jammu Railway Division, Raghvender Singh, the affected services will not operate from their originating stations on Friday, October 9.
The cancelled trains include train number 12446, scheduled to depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 7.50 pm; train number 04082, departing at 9 pm; and train number 22462, scheduled to leave Katra at 11.25 pm. All three services operate between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi.
Train number 12426 Rajdhani Express, scheduled to depart from Jammu Tawi for New Delhi at 9.25 pm, has also been cancelled.
Singh advised passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and check the latest status of their trains before travelling.
“Help desks have been set up at all important railway stations, and information is also being continuously provided to passengers through the Public Announcement System,” he said.
Passengers can also obtain updates through Railway Helpline 139 or the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) app, Singh added.
