IAS Officer Piyush Singla Appointed Director in Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

The Government of India has appointed IAS officer Piyush Singla as Director in the National Health Authority–Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Singla, a 2012-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been selected for the post under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge and will continue co-terminus with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, subject to extension as per the admissible tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme or until further orders.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has been directed to relieve the officer immediately to facilitate his joining in New Delhi.

As per the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) guidelines, Singla is required to assume charge within three weeks from the date of the appointment order, failing which debarment proceedings under the Central Staffing Scheme may be initiated.

Piyush Singla is currently serving as Secretary to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in the Information Technology Department. He also holds additional charge of the General Administration, Information, and Hospitality and Protocol departments.
