The Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed the services of 21 Junior Scale probationers of the 2025 batch of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) at the disposal of various Administrative Departments for further posting.
The General Administration Department (GAD) issued Government Order No. 1563-JK(GAD) of 2026 on September 22, directing the concerned departments to post the officers with immediate effect in accordance with the applicable transfer policy.
As per the order, the probationers are to be posted outside their home districts. However, the condition will not apply to officers appointed to the JKAS on the basis of their status as residents of Backward Areas (RBA) or Areas Adjoining the Line of Actual Control (ALC). Such officers will be posted in their respective areas in accordance with the provisions of the J&K Reservation Act, 2004.
Of the 21 probationers, four have been placed at the disposal of the Cooperatives Department, two with Employment, two with Handicrafts and Handloom, four with Industries and Commerce, two with Revenue, four with Rural Development and three with Social Welfare.
Those placed with the Cooperatives Department are Iqra Farooq, Vasudha Sharma, Nadeem Ahmed and Shruti R Sharma.
Afiya Javaid and Tushar Mahajan have been assigned to the Employment Department, while Akanksha Sharma and Ayush Abrol have been placed with Handicrafts and Handloom.
The Industries and Commerce Department will receive Sakshi Parihar, Ghulam Jallani, Wikas Bin Hassan and Hameem Akhter.
Manpreet Kour and Sumit Kumar Kaith have been placed with the Revenue Department, while Muneeb Afzal Parrah, Manik Gandhi, Priyanka Sharma and Waqar Ahmed have been assigned to Rural Development.
Those placed with the Social Welfare Department are Ishrat Hussain, Sajad Ahmad Lone and Sunali Verma.
The government has also transferred 21 Junior Scale JKAS posts to the respective Administrative Departments for the purpose of salary drawal. The order directs all the officers to join their allotted departments with immediate effect.
