A Power Development Department (PDD) worker died after sustaining critical injuries in a fall from an electric pole while carrying out power restoration work in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, reports said.
The incident occurred while the worker was engaged in restoring electricity supply to consumers in the area. According to reports, he accidentally fell from the electric pole during the operation and suffered serious injuries.
He was immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital Sopore for treatment and was later referred to the Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar for specialised care due to the severity of his injuries. However, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
