Popular educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, has found himself at the centre of a controversy following a violent clash on June 2 involving his coaching institute, Khan Global Studies (KGS), and a rival coaching centre in Patna.
The dispute escalated after allegations that security personnel associated with KGS opened fire during the confrontation. Subsequently, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Khan Sir under non-bailable sections, including charges related to attempted murder and violations of the Arms Act. While a Patna district court has granted him interim protection from arrest, any escalation of the case could have far-reaching implications for his coaching business and public profile.
Administrative Action and Risk of Closure
The local administration has signalled a strict approach towards coaching centres linked to law-and-order concerns. Following the incident, officials warned that educational institutions found functioning as centres of rivalry or unrest could face temporary sealing or closure.
