The Finance Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer, posting, and assignment of additional charges to 19 Accounts and Treasury Officers across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
The reshuffle was notified through Government Order No. 213-F of 2026 dated June 16, 2026, issued by Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department. The order states that the changes have been made in the interest of administration to ensure efficient functioning of government offices and institutions.
Among the key postings, Amir Qazi, Accounts Officer in the Office of the Director General Prosecution, who was also holding additional charge of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Jammu, has been posted as Accounts Officer in the Directorate on a full-time basis. Sanjay Koul, Additional Treasury Officer at Sadder Treasury, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Accounts Officer in the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries, replacing Ajaz Ahmad Wani.
Shiv Dass Gupta, Accounts Officer in the ARI and Trainings Department, has been posted as Accounts Officer in the Office of the Director General Prosecution, while Ajaz Ahmad Wani has been transferred as Accounts Officer in the Regional Transport Office, Kashmir, relieving Shamim Ajaz of the additional charge of the post.
The order also transfers Himayoon Majeed, Treasury Officer, Karnah, as Accounts Officer in the State Motor Garages, relieving Naresh Kumar Bhat of his additional charge. Shreya Proach has been posted from the Lakhanpur-Sarthal Tourism Development Authority to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Jammu, while Pariksha Sharma has been shifted from Municipal Council Rajouri to the District Fund Office, Udhampur.
Saima Ashraf has been transferred from Municipal Council Kupwara to the Directorate of Horticulture, Kashmir, while Taraq Ahmad has been posted as Treasury Officer, Karnah, replacing Himayoon Majeed. Anjali Bhardwaj, who was holding additional charge of Sub-Treasury Billawar, has been posted there on a full-time basis as Treasury Officer.
Other transfers include Sanjay Pandoh as Additional Treasury Officer, Sadder Treasury Jammu; Altaf Hussain as Accounts Officer, IGP Traffic J&K; and Mohd Shafi Lone as Accounts Officer, Doodpathri Tourism Development Authority, Budgam.
To ensure continuity in administrative functioning, the Finance Department has also assigned additional charges to several officers until further orders. Zahoor Ahmad War will hold the charge of Pay and Accounts Officer, KPDCL Sopore; Ishtiaq Ahmad will oversee the post of Pay and Accounts Officer, Municipal Council Rajouri; and Javaid Ahmad Wani will additionally serve as Pay and Accounts Officer, Municipal Council Kupwara.
Similarly, Rakesh Kumar has been assigned the additional charge of Accounts Officer, Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur; Nikhil Sharma will look after the Accounts Officer post in the Lakhanpur-Sarthal Tourism Development Authority; while Nazir Ahmad Zargar has been given additional charge of Pay and Accounts Officer, Municipal Council Budgam.
The order takes effect immediately.
