Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and his longtime partner Gabriella Demetriades have officially registered their marriage in Goa, nearly eight years after beginning their relationship.

The couple completed the legal formalities at the Sub-Registrar’s Office in Mapusa, North Goa, in the presence of a small group of close friends.

Arjun and Gabriella reached the office at around 4 pm and kept the occasion low-key. Both opted for casual attire rather than marking the occasion with an elaborate ceremony.

The couple had reportedly obtained special permission from the Assistant Public Prosecutor of the local court to waive the mandatory 15-day waiting period between the first and second signatures under the applicable marriage registration procedure.

Arjun and Gabriella began dating in 2018, following the actor’s separation from his former wife, Mehr Jesia. Over the years, the couple built a family together while largely keeping their relationship away from the spotlight.

They welcomed their first son, Arik, in 2019. Their second son, Ariv, was born four years later.

In 2025, Arjun announced his engagement to Gabriella, marking another milestone in their relationship. Their marriage registration now formally completes a journey that began nearly eight years ago.

Before making their relationship legally official, Arjun had spoken openly about why he and Gabriella had not felt the need to marry.

During an appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channel, the actor questioned whether a legal document was essential to define a committed relationship.

Arjun had said that he and Gabriella considered themselves married emotionally, even without the legal formalities. He described their relationship as one in which they supported and encouraged each other while continuing to retain their individuality.

He had also expressed the view that marriage should be a personal decision rather than something dictated by social expectations.

According to Arjun, their relationship had evolved naturally, and the couple did not feel compelled to justify their choices to others.

Years after describing themselves as “already married” in their minds, Arjun and Gabriella have now formalised their relationship legally.

The intimate registration in Goa marks a new chapter for the couple, who have built a family together and maintained a relatively private personal life despite their public profiles.
