The Jammu and Kashmir Social Welfare Department has ordered the transfer and fresh posting of 16 officers, including several JKAS officers, across various districts and Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) projects with immediate effect.
The transfers and postings were ordered through Government Order No. 146-JK(SWD) of 2026, issued on September 14 by Sarmad Hafeez, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department.
Among the major changes, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, DPO Kupwara, has been assigned the additional charge of District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Kupwara, alongside his existing responsibilities. He replaces Sajad Ahmad Bhat, JKAS, who has been relieved of the additional charge.
Mukthar Ahmad, JKAS, presently serving as I/C DSWO Budgam, has been given the additional charge of I/C DSWO Srinagar in addition to his existing duties.
Aadil Iqbal Lone, JKAS, who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the department, has been posted as I/C DSWO Anantnag against an available post. He will also hold the additional charge of CDPO, ICDS Project Anantnag.
Israr Bukhari, JKAS, has been transferred from CDPO, ICDS Project Manjakote, and posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Rajouri.
In a corresponding move, Aadil Shabir, JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment, has been posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Manjakote.
Saima Ramzan, JKAS, has been posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Kakapora against an available vacancy.
Dr Lekha Bhasin, JKAS, has been transferred from her existing posting as CDPO and posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Gandhinagar, vice Sakshi Mahajan.
Mahajan, JKAS, has in turn been transferred and posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Khour, against an available vacancy.
Niharika, JKAS, who was awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Marh.
Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, CDPO, ICDS Project Dansal, has been transferred and posted as CDPO, Reasi. He will also hold the additional charge of ICDS Projects Arnas and Pouni.
Sonika Parihar, JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment in the department, has been posted as Assistant Director (Administration), Directorate of Social Welfare Jammu, replacing Pallavi Sharma, JKAS.
Pallavi Sharma has been transferred from the post of Assistant Director (Administration) and posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Satwari, vice Tanvi Gupta.
Tanvi Gupta, JKAS, has been transferred from CDPO, ICDS Project Satwari, and posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Dansal.
Punika Pandita, JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment, has been posted as CDPO (Headquarters), Mission Director ICDS.
The order also provides for the transfer of one post from the overall cadre strength to Mission Director ICDS for the purpose of salary drawal.
Shivani Gotra, JKAS, has been posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Majalta, while Maqbool Ahmad, JKAS, has been posted as CDPO, ICDS Project Mendhar, following their respective periods awaiting adjustment in the department.
The transfers and postings have been ordered with immediate effect, as per the government order.
