Finance Department Transfers 29 State Tax, Excise Inspectors Across J&K

21 State Tax Inspectors and eight Excise Inspectors shifted in fresh administrative reshuffle; officials deemed relieved with immediate effect

The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has ordered the transfer and posting of 29 State Tax and Excise Inspectors across the Jammu and Kashmir divisions with immediate effect.

The transfers were ordered under Government Order No. 298-FD of 2026, dated September 17, 2026, issued in the interest of administration and signed by Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (ACS), Finance Department.

Of the 29 officials covered by the order, 21 are State Tax Inspectors and eight are Excise Inspectors.

In the Jammu Division, Harminder Singh Dhir has been transferred from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (North), Udhampur, to Circle-P, Jammu.

Mohd Salim, who had been relieved from the Excise Department and was awaiting adjustment, has been posted to Circle-Doda.

Paramveer Singh has been shifted from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Recovery), Jammu, to Circle-Kathua-I, while Gulzar Ahmad has been transferred from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement, Kathua, headquartered at Lakhanpur, to Circle-Ramban.

Shayan Ji Saleem has been moved from Circle-J, Jammu, to Circle-Rajouri, while Anurag Sharma has been posted from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (Central), Jammu, to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (South), Samba.

Neeraj Singh Chib, who was serving in the Audit Cell while attached to the office of the Assistant Commissioner, State Taxes (A&E), Jammu, has been posted to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (Central), Jammu.

Deepak Singh has been shifted from the State Taxes Recovery office in Jammu to Circle-C, Jammu.

Sachin Slathia has been transferred from Circle-P, Jammu, to Circle-Kishtwar, while Rajesh Singh has been moved from Circle-Samba-I to Circle-Kathua-I.

Anish Mahajan, who was awaiting adjustment after being relieved from the Excise Department, has been posted to Circle-G, Jammu.

Rachit Sharma has been transferred from Circle-F to Circle-H, Jammu, while Sanjeev Kumar Sakolia has been shifted from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Appeals-II), Jammu, to Circle-Kathua-II.

Sahil Choudhary has been posted from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (Central), Jammu, to Circle-Poonch.

Ch. Talib Hussain has been transferred from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Stamps, Jammu, to Circle-Reasi.

Avinash Dogra has been moved from the State Taxes Recovery office in Jammu to Circle-Kathua-II.

Sandeep Kumar Rana will continue at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (South), Samba.

Abhishek Abrol, who had been relieved from the Excise Department and was awaiting adjustment, has been posted to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement (North), Udhampur.

Ms Ekta has been transferred from Circle-C, Jammu, to the State Taxes Check Post at Jammu Railway Station (Goods Side).

In the Kashmir Division, Sajad Hussain Baldave has been transferred from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Recovery), Kashmir, to Circle-Budgam.

Malik Vikarul Hassan, who had been relieved from the Excise Department and was awaiting adjustment, has been posted to Circle-I, Kashmir.

Among the Excise Inspectors transferred in the Jammu Division, Vishal has been posted to the office of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Accounts), Jammu.

Neel Raj Gupta has been assigned to the office of the Excise Commissioner, J&K, while Deepak Sharma has been posted to the office of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Distilleries), Jammu.

In the Kashmir Division, Ms Afshan has been transferred from the Excise Range APSK, Sub-Range Pulwama-Shopian, to the Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal Excise Range.

Mobashar Altaf has also been transferred from the Excise Range APSK, Sub-Range Pulwama-Shopian, to the Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal Excise Range, with his new posting at the Ganderbal Sub-Range.

The Finance Department has directed that all the officials covered by the order shall be deemed relieved from their present places of posting with immediate effect, enabling them to join their new assignments without delay.
