Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has issued a strong warning to adversaries, stating that Tehran is fully prepared to retaliate decisively if tensions escalate further amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.

“We are fully prepared. If they make even the slightest mistake, we will respond with force,” Ghalibaf said, underlining Iran’s firm posture at a time when ceasefire negotiations remain fragile.

Highlighting Iran’s growing military strength, he asserted that the country’s offensive capabilities and strategic preparedness have significantly improved compared to previous conflicts. “We are a head and shoulders above the past in terms of offensive capabilities and design,” he noted, referring to recent battlefield experiences.

While acknowledging the United States’ superior military resources, Ghalibaf maintained that Iran’s strategic planning and asymmetric warfare approach have enabled it to effectively counter its adversaries. He argued that despite having greater financial and military assets, the US and its allies have faltered in strategic decision-making.

Referring sharply to Israel, Ghalibaf described it as an extension of American interests in the region and accused both nations of misjudging Iran’s capabilities and resolve. He further criticised Washington’s foreign policy approach, claiming that despite its “America First” stance, US decisions are heavily influenced by Israeli inputs.

Ghalibaf also alleged that Iran’s adversaries are attempting to destabilise its economy as part of a broader pressure strategy, even as diplomatic efforts continue to prevent further escalation.

The remarks come at a critical juncture, with global attention focused on whether ongoing negotiations can de-escalate tensions or push the region towards a wider confrontation.
