The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the promotion of four officers and officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to senior positions, according to an order issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department.
The promotions were sanctioned on the recommendations of the UT-level Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the Jammu Municipal Corporation, which met on July 31, 2026.
As per Government Order No. 187-JK(HUD) of 2026, dated September 3, 2026, Ankush Kapoor has been promoted as Chief Informatics Officer in Pay Level-10A, carrying a pay scale of Rs 56,600–Rs 1,79,800, with effect from July 31, 2026.
Raman Kumar Gupta has been promoted as Building Officer in Pay Level-8 (Rs 47,600–Rs 1,51,100), with effect from September 17, 2026.
Parveen Gupta has been promoted as Revenue Officer in Pay Level-8 (Rs 47,600–Rs 1,51,100), with effect from July 31, 2026.
Meanwhile, Shabab Raza Rizvi has been promoted as Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Pay Level-8A, carrying a pay scale of Rs 50,700–Rs 1,60,600, with effect from July 31, 2026.
The order was issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department on September 3 following communications received from the Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, on July 29, August 4 and August 25.
The promotions have been sanctioned by the Government based on the recommendations of the prescribed Departmental Promotion Committee and in accordance with the applicable rules.
