Three Sustain Critical Burn Injuries in LPG Cylinder Explosion in Rajouri

Three men sustained critical burn injuries after an LPG cylinder caught fire and exploded in Kha village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Saturday, officials said.

According to officials, the incident occurred when an LPG cylinder suddenly caught fire and exploded, severely injuring three persons who were present nearby at the time of the blast.

The injured were immediately rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital in Rajouri for emergency treatment. However, owing to the critical nature of their injuries, all three were later referred to Government Medical College, Jammu, for specialised medical care.

The injured have been identified as Vikam Singh (32), Rakesh Singh (38), and Shanker Singh (40), all residents of the area.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated the necessary proceedings. Further details regarding the cause of the explosion are awaited.

Authorities are monitoring the condition of the injured, while an investigation into the incident is underway.
