Examiner Bureau | Srinagar:

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for the completion of two key infrastructure projects on National Highway-44 — an 810-metre viaduct near Ramsoo in Ramban district and the 3.5-km AT-03 Tunnel connecting Digdole and Panthyal.

In a statement, the Lieutenant Governor said the projects mark another milestone in strengthening road connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir and will significantly enhance all-weather access across the Union Territory.

He said the newly completed infrastructure will ensure smoother and safer travel for residents, tourists, freight carriers and security forces. The projects will also facilitate seamless movement of pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 by bypassing landslide-prone stretches of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Describing the projects as a major achievement, Sinha credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for accelerating the transformation of Jammu and Kashmir’s highway infrastructure.

The 810-metre Ramsoo viaduct and the 3.5-km AT-03 Tunnel between Digdole and Panthyal are scheduled to be opened for traffic on July 3, 2026.
