The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Wednesday attached a property belonging to former Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Dr Mubeen Ahmed Shah in connection with an ongoing investigation into a case registered in 2020.
According to official sources, the attached property comprises 12 marlas of land located in the Buchwara area of Srinagar. The attachment was carried out under FIR No. 07/2020, registered at Police Station CIK, after completion of the requisite legal formalities.
A team of Counter Intelligence Kashmir executed the attachment proceedings in the presence of local revenue officials, who completed the necessary documentation at the site.
Dr Mubeen Ahmed Shah, a prominent industrialist who served as president of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2006 to 2008, has been residing in Malaysia with his family since late 2019.
Officials said the property attachment forms part of the ongoing investigation, adding that further legal proceedings in the case will be initiated in accordance with the law.
