A 23-year-old man died after being found unconscious in Srinagar on Monday, officials said.
According to officials, a police team from Police Post Fateh Kadal shifted the youth to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital after finding him unconscious. However, doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Danish Nazir Shah, son of Nazir Ahmad Shah, a resident of Model Town, Sopore, who was presently residing at Nagbal in Ganderbal district.
Police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death. The body has been taken into custody for medico-legal formalities, while further investigation is underway.
