The Jammu and Kashmir Government has promoted six officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Service from the Selection Grade to the Special Scale, with five officers receiving regular promotions with effect from August 4, 2026, and one officer being granted notional promotion from January 20, 2025.
The promotions were notified by the Finance Department through Government Order No. 251-F of 2026, issued on August 4, 2026. The officers have been placed in Level-13 of the Pay Matrix, carrying a pay scale of Rs 1,23,100–2,15,900.
According to the order, Shahid Majeed Kakroo has been promoted to the Special Scale on a notional basis with effect from January 20, 2025, and on a regular basis from August 4, 2026.
The other officers promoted to the Special Scale with effect from August 4, 2026, are Harjeet Kour, Manav Gupta, Amit Mahajan, Pre Lata Patial and Rashim Deepika.
The government said the promotions have been approved on the recommendations of the Establishment-cum-Selection Committee, based on the minutes of its meeting held on July 23, 2025, as conveyed by the General Administration Department through U.O. No. GAD-SERVOKAS/173/2021, dated July 29, 2026.
