Two people were killed and two others critically injured after an Eco vehicle met with an accident at Kandi Morha in the Kotranka subdivision of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said.
According to officials, the accident occurred when the vehicle, bearing registration number JK11D-7667, was travelling from Kandi towards Mohra. Six people were injured in the mishap and were subsequently shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, for treatment.
Officials said two of the injured later succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment. Two others remain in critical condition and are receiving medical care, while the condition of the remaining two injured persons is stated to be stable.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
