Examiner Bureau | Udhampur:
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Mingpa Sherpa has suspended two officials for alleged dereliction of duty during the ongoing digital crop survey in the district.
According to an official order, the suspended officials have been identified as Man Mohan, a GRS posted at the BDO Office, Ghordi, and Rattan Lal, an NYC with the District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO).
The order stated that the two officials remained unauthorisedly absent despite directions issued by the competent authorities, resulting in disruption to the government-mandated survey exercise.
During the period of suspension, both officials have been attached to the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. They have also been directed not to leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority.
The action comes days after Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan suspended four officials on September 11 over alleged negligence and failure to achieve prescribed targets under the ongoing digital crop survey in the district.
The latest disciplinary action underscores the administration’s focus on ensuring timely completion of the crop survey and adherence to official directions by personnel deployed for the exercise.
