J&K Declares 19 AYUSH Medical Officers Quasi-Permanent

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has declared the services of 19 Medical Officers working in the Directorate of AYUSH as quasi-permanent, according to an official order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department.

Government Order No. 744-JK (HME) of 2026 grants approval for the declaration under Rule 3(1) and Rule 3-A(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1961, read with Schedule IX of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, Volume II.

The order covers Medical Officers posted at AYUSH health and wellness centres, AAM AYUSH facilities and other government healthcare institutions across Jammu and Kashmir.

Those covered by the order include Dr Sanjeet Kumar, posted at AHWC Seswan in Kathua; Dr Tariq Ahmad Ganie, AAM Bayari, Bandipora; Dr Riyaz Ahmad Dar (retired), AAM AYUSH Tilgam, Baramulla; Dr Roopsi Gupta, Government AHWC Nanga, Samba; Dr Om Prakash, Government AHWC Malikote, Reasi; and Dr Nikhil Mahajan, Government AHWC, Samba.

The list also includes Dr Vimal Sharma, Government AYUSH HWC Bagyldera, Poonch; Dr Sanjay Kumar Koul, Government AYUSH HWC Rajpura, Samba; Dr Punam Kurhan, Nagrota Preyta, Kathua; Dr Jarnail Singh, Government AYUSH H&WC Kuthar, Jammu; Dr Nusrat Kawoosa, AAM AYUSH Shalimar, Srinagar; and Dr Mohammad Jamal Bhat, AYUSH Unit, SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.

Other Medical Officers covered by the order are Dr Mona Prasher, AAM AYUSH Ghagwal, Samba; Dr Ajay Kumar Dass, AYUSH AMM Bajja Chairalla, Doda; Dr Ruhail John, AAM AYUSH Palpora, Srinagar; Dr Syed Abdul Shakoor, Government Unani Hospital, Shalteng, Srinagar; Dr Mohammad Ali-in Kawa, AAM AYUSH Kehnoosa, Bandipora; Dr Shabir Ahmad Bhat, AYUSH Unit, Sub-District Hospital Handwara; and Dr Sarika Raj Kumari, AAM AYUSH Shahbad Bahufort, Jammu.

The order was issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Government and signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department.

The order does not specify any additional financial benefits or other service-related changes arising from the declaration.
