Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq has called for restraint and diplomatic engagement following the reported attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing concern over the loss of lives and injuries.

In a post on X, the Mirwaiz warned that the attack could aggravate civilian suffering and further widen the ongoing regional crisis. He urged all sides to pursue a just resolution through dialogue and diplomacy, emphasising the need to prevent further escalation and loss of life.

His appeal came after Saudi Arabia reported on Saturday that at least 12 people had been killed and more than 300 injured in an attack on the airport near Riyadh, which Saudi authorities attributed to Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

The Mirwaiz’s statement stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to contain tensions and avert further harm to civilians amid the volatile regional situation.
