A man lost his life after the vehicle he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Dandote area of Budhal in Rajouri district on Sunday, officials said.
According to officials, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rolled down into the gorge. He was immediately rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Gagan Deep Singh, a resident of Gota village in Chassana tehsil of Reasi district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident, officials added.
