An Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) manager was found dead at the corporation’s premises in the Sempora area of Pantha Chowk, Srinagar, on Saturday morning, officials said.
According to officials, Yashpal Singh, Manager of the Indian Oil Corporation at Sempora, was found hanging inside the IOC premises.
Following information about the incident, a police team from Police Station Pantha Chowk reached the spot and took cognisance of the matter.
Police have initiated legal proceedings and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death, officials added.
