Pakistani JeM Militant’s Remains Recovered in Doda

Security forces have recovered the remains of a Pakistani militant affiliated with the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) outfit in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the militant had earlier been neutralised during a joint operation, following which security forces carried out a subsequent search and recovery operation in the area.

The operation involved personnel from the Special Operations Group (SOG) Doda), Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

In a post on X, Jammu and Kashmir Police said the joint forces retrieved the militant’s remains and also recovered an M4 rifle from the site.

Police said the recovery was part of the coordinated efforts of the security forces following the earlier operation.

Further details about the circumstances of the earlier encounter, the location of the recovery and the identity of the militant were not immediately available.
