A 29-year-old man and his four-year-old son were killed, while his wife sustained critical injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling on collided with a Swift car at Soibugh in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Naseer Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, and his four-year-old son, Hadi, both residents of Goon Ahmad Pora in Magam.
Naseer’s wife, Dilshada Akhter, who was also travelling on the motorcycle, suffered critical injuries in the collision and was shifted for medical treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Soibugh Hospital and will be handed over to the family after completion of the medico-legal formalities.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the collision.
